Ashton Community Science College is an 11-16 mixed school with 860 pupils on roll and was rated as Good by Ofsted in the last inspection in 2018.

Our goal is to be an outstanding High School and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified teacher to teach in our unit, who is committed to raising standards by inspiring learners.  If you believe that young people deserve nothing less than the best and have the passion, drive and ambition to make a difference as a leader in a key subject area, you would be a welcome addition to our school family.

  • Have a strong desire to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school

We welcome applications from experienced teachers who are ready to take the next step in their professional career and who have an enthusiasm for SEN and for working with young people, as well as those with leadership experience. They should have a real interest in a wide range of teaching and learning approaches and enjoy working in, as well as leading, a team. A full programme of support is available as part of our commitment to investing in high quality staff

As part of the role, we are also looking to offer an additional TLR point (TLR 2b) for further significant responsibility within the SEND team in addition to the unit should the successful candidate have the right experience and qualifications.
