Due to the imminent relocation of our current Head Teacher, the Governing Bodies of Waddington & West Bradford CE Primary School and Brennand's Endowed CE Primary School, Slaidburn invite applications from qualified, experienced and inspirational school leaders to shape the future of our collaboration. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take on the role of Executive Head Teacher, leading a successful collaboration of two highly-regarded, friendly and thriving schools staffed by talented and hardworking teams who have already worked together for five years. The successful candidate will be equipped to manage the schools on a day-to-day basis and help formulate and drive the strategic agenda, whilst at the same time preserving and developing the shared Christian ethos, warmth, and drive for success that pervades both schools.

We are looking for a leader who:
  • Will encourage achievement, aspiration and personal fulfilment for all our children;
  • Has high expectations of children's learning and behaviour, and a commitment to raising standards across the schools;
  • Will uphold and sustain the spiritual and caring values of our two Church of England Primary Schools, whilst instilling their own leadership and identity;
  • Is a strategic and creative thinker with the vision, energy and enthusiasm for challenge, change and growth;
  • Has the ability to lead and support a dedicated and long-established team;
  • Is able to assess and monitor data and outcomes and implement change as required;
  • Has a commitment to their own professional development;
  • Is approachable and collaborative with excellent communication skills, and can engage positively with children, staff, parents, church, and the local community; and
  • Is committed to leading an inclusive environment, regardless of gender, faith or background.

    In return, we can offer:
  • Two effective Church schools, rated Good by OFSTED, in the heart of their communities, which share an exceptionally caring and nurturing environment underpinned by a strong Christian ethos;
  • Happy, caring and enthusiastic children who are keen to learn, enjoy challenge and are proud of themselves and their schools;
  • Hardworking, committed and dedicated staff whose aim is to improve outcomes for children and who benefit from the regular exchange of ideas and expertise within the collaboration;
  • The opportunity to work with two committed and fully supportive governing bodies, with further support from the local authority and diocesan boards of education;
  • Support for your professional development and well-being; and
  • Close working relationships with parents, the local community and the Church.
