Summary
Thank you for your interest in the current vacancy for a School Business Manager at Clifton Primary School.

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, experienced and highly motivated professional to take on this key strategic role within our school. The post is for 30 hours per week, starting from 1st September 2025 or later, depending on the successful candidate’s resignation period. This role will be 4 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant, forward-thinking school community where you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth and effective running of the school across key areas such as finance, HR, premises, health & safety, procurement and administration.

As this is our first dedicated School Business Manager post, it presents a rare opportunity to shape the role from the ground up—a blank canvas for the right candidate to make a meaningful and lasting impact across the school.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in school business management or school business support.

  • Is financially astute, organised and efficient, with excellent attention to detail

  • Has understanding of HR, finance systems, health & safety and facilities management or the willingness to learn about these core aspects of the role

  • Is a confident communicator, able to work closely with the Headteacher, Governors, wider staff team, parents and external agencies

  • Brings a positive, proactive and solution-focused approach to their work

  • Is committed to supporting the vision, values and success of our school

  • This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
