Information
Larches High School is a Secondary Alternative Provision school which provides full time education for up to 125 pupils who are not able to access mainstream education.

We have an inclusive philosophy and believe passionately in ensuring that all pupils are given the opportunities, skills, knowledge and qualifications to ensure that they are able to reintegrate back into mainstream education or on to specialist provision, further education employment or training.

We recognise that our pupils are individuals and that “one size does not fit all”.  We also understand that many of our pupils have not had a positive experience of education and we believe it is our role to re-engage them with their learning, improve relationships and broaden their opportunities.

The personal relationships developed with our pupils ensure that each one achieves their potential both academically and personally.

The Governors of Larches High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated individual to join the school as a Hair and Beauty unqualified teacher. Current working days are Mondays and Wednesdays 8.50am -4pm, however the school is looking to expand its provision to support mainstream schools so working days are likely to be extended.

Salary to be negotiated within the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The post will require the successful candidate to have a proven record of engaging all pupils and raising their attainment.
