The Governors of St. Teresa’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join our supportive and nurturing school community. This is a part-time, non-teaching role (2 days per week, 0.4 FTE), though some work with small groups of pupils may be required to support targeted interventions.

The successful candidate will be a skilled, compassionate, and highly organised professional with a strong understanding of SEND practice and a commitment to ensuring every child flourishes.
You will lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs across the school, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure high-quality support and positive outcomes.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Work closely with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support plans
- Champion inclusive practice across the school
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified teacher with the NASENCO award / NPQ in SEND (or commitment to achieve the qualification)
- Proven experience in supporting pupils with SEND
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A team player with a caring, proactive approach
