Fairfield Nursery School Class Teacher Post
Start Date 1st September 2025 (or as near to possible)

Full time although part time 0.6FTE will be considered

Fairfield Nursery School Governing Body is looking to appoint a teacher to join our wonderful team in September 2025. The position is on a fixed 1 year contract but may be extended subject to funding. The post holder would be working with 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Fairfield Nursery School is at the heart of our community in Accrington, on the border of Oswaldtwistle. The school first opened in 1952 and has a strong history of supporting children and families through out this time. Many of our families return, including grandparents with their grandchildren. Fairfield has a strong ethos built around our Image of the Child. We believe that our children learn through a creative lens which drives our innovative approach to the schools curriculum. Our school has a large site that has beautiful grounds and woodland area that the children work in every week. We are also the base for Lancashire’s Early Years Development Centre. We embrace working with children who have complex needs and are very successful at impacting on their progress and development. We believe that parents are their child’s first educator, they are integral to the learning journey we are on together. We have an open door policy, parents join us for visits to the seaside, family lunches, stay and plays and funtrails. Fairfield Nursery school is looking for a passionate teacher who loves working with young children. The applicant will need to have a deep knowledge of how young children learn and how they as adults support and facilitate their learning and development. Applicants need to be flexible, able to face change and challenges, willing to learn and have a sense of humour.
