The Governors of Read St. John's Primary School are looking to appoint an inspirational and knowledgeable SENDCO with class teacher responsibility. The year group for this role has yet to be determined and will be based on the strengths of the applicant. Do you have a passion for educating and nurturing children?
We are looking for someone with an understanding of SEND, a caring and collaborative working style and an understanding of what is required for effective teaching and learning across all key stages. You would support our Christian ethos, making a positive difference to our children's lives. We are a caring, loving school nestled in the Ribble Valley, next to open countryside.
We want our children to be happy in school, we set high expectations and want to give our children every opportunity. We can offer you a safe and happy school environment where our children enjoy learning, a beautiful outdoor environment, including a large school field and a forest school area and a supportive Governing Body who are committed to our children and school.

- Understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice 2015
- The ability to develop SEND strategies for supporting pupil's individual needs in and beyond the classrooms
- An understanding of teaching across the whole of the primary phase
- Desirable Experience
