Now, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced teacher to take on a leadership role in our brand-new SEND Hub, designed to support children with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive setting.

A Unique Leadership Role

This is an exciting chance for an ambitious teacher to shape and develop a brand-new SEND Hub attached to our thriving mainstream primary school. As the main classroom teacher, you will:

Lead and help develop the SEND Hub, with the opportunity to design and implement a curriculum tailored to the needs of our pupils.

Work alongside our experienced and highly successful Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure our SEND provision is outstanding.

Have the chance to innovate and introduce new teaching strategies, including outdoor learning and sensory-based approaches.

Collaborate closely with parents, specialists, and external agencies to create a holistic and nurturing learning environment.

This role comes with a TLR 2.1, recognising the additional leadership responsibility of helping to shape a specialist provision from the ground up.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Degree

Desirable Qualifications

Relevant SEND qualification e.g. NPQ SENDCo

Essential Experience

Strong understanding of Education, Health & Care Plans.

Knowledge and experience of outdoor learning. 

Experience working with children with SEND.

The ability to demonstrate a high standard of classroom practice.

Desirable Experience

Recent participation in relevant training.

Skills and understanding to lead and develop a curriculum

Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
