Information
The Governors at Brabin’s Endowed Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic class teacher to join our outstanding team. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Y3/4 class teacher, who may also take on subject leader responsibility.

This is a rare opportunity for a teacher to join the team - a happy, well established workforce.  The successful candidate will be both, an excellent practitioner as well as a hardworking individual who has high expectations of themselves and others.

Brabin’s is a small, nurturing school with 86 pupils on roll, taught across four classes. We gained an Outstanding Ofsted Inspection (June 2024) and we welcome applicants who feel they can passionately contribute to the determination and drive of our existing team. We are looking for a teacher who is flexible in their approach. Planning and delivering lessons to a mixed age class is an essential part of the role. Candidates are asked  to state their subject strengths,  within their application, as we hope to utilise the skills of the appointed teacher to maximise the learning for our pupils.

The governors are looking for a teacher who:
  • Is committed to promoting the strong Christian ethos of the school
  • Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Has excellent teaching skills and the ability to inspire children
  • Has experience teaching in KS2
  • Can work as part of a dedicated team and has a flexible approach

    In return, we can offer:
  • Enthusiastic, happy children who enjoy learning
  • A dedicated team of experienced staff, parents and governors
  • Opportunities for continual professional development in a supportive environment

If you would like to visit the school in advance, and this strongly recommended, please make an appointment by contacting Rachel Wallace, Headteacher by email: head@brabins.lancs.sch.uk

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe In Education 2024, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
