Information

This post is for a one year maternity leave cover commencing in October, 2024 or as soon a possible.   

This post is ideally suited to a teacher who either has experience of working in a special school environment or a teacher who has a passion for working in this environment and would like to gain that experience. We welcome applicants from ECTs as well as experienced teachers (mainstream or special).

This post is in a small class of 9 pupils all of whom have autistic spectrum conditions and learning disabilities.  All of the pupils are able to access learning opportunities with support.  The class is staffed with a teacher and 3 experienced teaching assistants.

We are looking for a well-organised practitioner who is able to communicate well with staff and pupils, is able to adapt lessons for a wide range of needs and who is enthusiastic and dedicated to working within our specialist environment. 

We offer a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing CPD.
