Do you have the drive and enthusiasm to help lead our school? Due to the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher the children, staff and governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and aspirational Deputy Headteacher to work in partnership with the Headteacher and whole school community to continue to develop and secure the very best outcomes for all. This is an exciting and important time to join the school as it continues on its journey of growth and development.

Lowerhouse Junior School serves the communities of Rosegrove and Lowerhouse in Burnley. It is a happy, caring school where hard work and good behaviour are expected. We are seeking a dynamic, inspirational and aspirational Deputy Headteacher and leader who:

  • will have experience at senior leadership level with a strong proven track record of raising whole school standards;
  • will use rigorous monitoring and assessment strategies to review progress and to set targets
  • will be a highly effective and outstanding practitioner and leader of learning who can drive improvements to build on the strengths of our school;
  • will challenge, lead and empower staff to be the best they can be;
  • will have the energy, drive and ability to develop the potential of all staff and pupils;
  • will contribute to the vision, core values and aims of Lowerhouse Junior School within the school and the wider community;
  • can demonstrate a flexible approach to leadership and management with the resilience and determination to support ongoing school improvement and change;
  • has a highly motivational style to enable effective team working and collaboration;
  • has the ability to lead by example and to demonstrate innovative approaches to teaching, learning and curriculum development;
  • has the desire and motivation to build and strengthen links with parents, governors and the wider community.
