Governors of Poulton St Chad’s Church of England Primary School would like to invite applications for the post of Deputy Headteacher. We seek an outstanding classroom practitioner with dynamic leadership potential.
The successful applicant will be supported by a committed and motivated staff team and enthusiastic pupils, to build on our already high standards, in leading the school forward.

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher who:
  • Has the children and their best interests at the heart of everything they do.
  • Is a practising Christian who will promote the Christian ethos within our school and its wider community.
  • Has an excellent understanding of teaching, learning, behaviour management and assessment across the primary phase, and is an excellent classroom practitioner, who leads by example, with a track record of delivering high attainment and progress.
  • Has a deep understanding of inclusion and a commitment to reducing barriers to learning and ensuring all children receive quality education.
  • Has the leadership qualities needed to work with the head teacher and Governors in order to lead, motivate, train and inspire staff and children to achieve the highest standards.
  • Has the resilience, self-motivation and enthusiasm to work as part of the leadership team to continue to improve our wonderful school.
  • Has experience of strategic planning and leadership and striving for excellence and can demonstrate the impact this has had on raising standards.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and is committed to working in partnership with staff, pupils, parents, governors and the wider community.
