The Governors of Christ the King RC Voluntary Academy are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher who is keen to make a difference in our children's lives.

We are looking for a KS2 teacher who:

  • can demonstrate that they are an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • will inspire our pupils, communicating the ethos of our Roman Catholic school, centred on our school ethos, “Christ at the heart of all we do”.
  • is an enthusiastic, inspirational classroom practitioner with a strong desire to raise standards and ignite a love of learning. 
  • has a passion for teaching and believes in sharing best practices to inspire and motivate others.
  • has the ability to form and maintain positive relationships that motivate children, parents and colleagues.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status and degree
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and In-service training
  • Desirable Qualifications
  • CCRS or Willingness to undertake within 2 years of appointment
  • Essential Experience
  • Excellent Practitioner
  • Experience in leading a curriculum area 
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Can demonstrate effective planning, differentiation and assessment
  • Can demonstrate a commitment to supporting the safeguarding of all pupils
  • Effective strategies for behaviour management
  • Desirable Experience
  • Some experience in teaching children with individual needs (EAL, SEN, More Able)
