Information

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, experienced, highly motivated class teacher, to teach in Year 2 and across KS2, in our highly successful school. The successful candidate will continue to develop and maintain the high standards of education in the school and contribute to whole school development. St. Michael's on Wyre Church of England Primary School & Nursery is in a rural location, being integral to the village and local community. There are currently 139 pupils on roll, in 5 classes plus school nursery. The school is founded upon firm Christian principles and values, which underpin all that we do.

We are looking for someone who:



  • is a consistently outstanding classroom practitioner

  • can demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and Church of England foundation of the school

  • has high expectations for the progress and achievement of all pupils

  • has experience of delivering a high quality well-planned primary curriculum

  • can lead at least one subject area

  • is willing to fully participate in the wider life of the school.

    Essential Qualifications

    Qualified teacher status Degree Recent and relevant participation in professional development


    Essential Experience

    Experience of teaching across both key stages


    Experience of delivering a high quality well-planned Primary curriculum


    Experience of working with all abilities of children, including more able and those with SEN


    Desirable Experience

    Subject Leadership- experience of leading a curriculum area


    Experience of teaching mixed age classes


    Experience of working in a Church of England Primary School
