At Buckshaw we aim to prepare children for their future, by raising aspirations and developing resilience, within a happy, safe and caring environment.
Buckshaw is a one form community school situated on the edge of Astley Park. We are recognised for our nurturing ethos including Betsy our school dog.
We place a great deal of emphasis on values for life; those of friendship, compassion, respect, perseverance, creativity and responsibility. We pay great attention to our children having a clear and distinct voice in our school. We are passionate about creating a curriculum which ensures that every child in school has a rich and rewarding experience so they leave with a love of learning, high self-esteem, pride in their success and ready to enjoy the challenges of life. We believe that young people have an entitlement to be prepared for their world, not ours. We would like to appoint a highly motivated KS2 teacher who shares our ethos.
