Do you want to make a difference in your work?
Do you enjoy a challenge?
Do you have a passion for improving the life chances, opportunities and outcomes of young people?
Larches High School is a Secondary Alternative Provision school which provides full time education for up to 110 pupils who are not able to access mainstream education.
We have an inclusive philosophy and believe passionately in ensuring that all pupils are given the opportunities, skills, knowledge and qualifications to ensure that they are able to reintegrate back into mainstream education or on to specialist provision, further education employment or training.
We recognise that our pupils are individuals and that “one size does not fit all”. We also understand that many of our pupils have not had a positive experience of education and we believe it is our role to re-engage them with their learning, improve relationships and broaden their opportunities.
The personal relationships developed with our pupils ensure that each one achieves their potential both academically and personally.
From September 2022, The Governors of Larches High School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated individual to join the school as a Teacher of Humanities and PE, teaching at KS3 and KS4.
The post will require the successful candidate to be a consistently good or outstanding teacher and have a proven record of engaging all pupils and raising their attainment.
Visits to the school are welcomed. For an informal discussion please contact the headteacher, Mrs Mitchell.
This school is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
