The Governing Body of Abbey Village Primary School are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to work at our wonderful rural village school. This post is initially a fixed term contract for one year.
We are looking to appoint a full time, experienced, highly motivated, classroom practitioner to teach in class 1 which is a small, mixed class of pupils consisting of Nursery, Reception and Year 1 (also open to NQT/ECT).

The successful candidate will be:

Have experience working within or a sound knowledge and understanding of a mixed age setting

Committed to and able to support the school's caring and nurturing ethos

Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and KS1 curriculum

An excellent teacher of phonics

Able to creatively plan, prepare and deliver lessons

Able to ensure progress for all pupils through robust tracking and interventions

Maintain excellent relationships with children, parents and staff

Flexible and adaptable to the ever changing needs of a small school

Willing to adapt learning to the needs and interests of the children to promote maximum engagement
