Thank you for expressing an interest in the temporary, part time Key Stage 2 vacancy at St Stephen’s Church of England VA Primary School for January 2022. This is initially for two terms with a possibility of this becoming a permanent position.

St Stephen’s is a one-form entry voluntary aided school comprising of seven classes and a nurture suite called ‘The Ark’. It is set in extensive well-maintained grounds overlooking the hills beyond Towneley Park in Burnley.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and outstanding teacher to join our excellent team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning work and teaching a Year 3 class for three full days, which will be a Monday, Tuesday and a Wednesday with a Thursday morning for PPA, meetings and a handover with the job share.

Our children are a pleasure to teach and thoroughly enjoy coming to school. The whole of the St Stephen’s family has embraced our new curriculum and are enjoying the ‘launch’ days at the start of each unit.

With regards to our facilities, we are very fortunate to be set within extensive, well-maintained grounds, which offer unlimited potential to enhance all of our children’s outdoor learning. We are blessed with a forest school, adventure playground, prayer garden, wild flower garden, remembrance wall, a MUGA and a large field. All children are fortunate enough to enjoy time in our forest school.

Observing the candidates teach on Wednesday 1st December 2021
