Pendle Community High School & College

Pendle Community High School and College are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to join our outstanding secondary special school and college for generic learning difficulties. We have a thriving school population and currently have 148 students on roll (ages 11 - 19). These students have a combination of moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders and other associated needs.

Pendle Community High School is situated in purpose-built accommodation, co-located with a mainstream secondary school, providing a wealth of opportunities for social and educational inclusion.

The successful candidate would be joining a highly committed and dynamic staff team making a real difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs.

If you have experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs (including SLD, PMLD), managing and delivering a highly differentiated curriculum (from early p-levels upwards), this post may be an ideal opportunity for you. We also welcome applications from EYFS/ primary school trained teachers and NQT/ ECTs. This role may include RE subject leadership, if appropriate, and can be discussed at interview.
