Following the recent promotion of our Headteacher, the Governing Board of Lytham Church of England Primary School would welcome applications from suitably motivated and experienced candidates for the role of Headteacher.

This post will offer you an excellent opportunity to lead our school on its continuing journey of improvement. You will direct and influence current practice, develop and implement a clear vision for the curriculum and further establish the school in the local community and parishes of St Cuthbert's Church and St John's Church, Lytham.

Our priorities currently are to maintain pupil numbers and successfully manage financial challenges, whilst ensuring the highest level of all-round education is delivered to our pupils. We are planning to launch a Nursery class late 2021.

At Lytham Church of England School we:
  • provide the highest standards of education within a caring and stimulating environment
  • inspire everyone in our school family to be the best that they can be within our compassionate Christian community
  • hold family values as the foundation of all our learning
  • believe that a happy child is a successful child and focus on our children feeling valued with personalised learning and high-quality teaching
  • feel that a close partnership with our parents and families is vital
  • value strong ties to our local community.

We are looking for an individual who can add a new dimension to our already vibrant school.
    The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills to enable effective partnerships with governors, staff, parents and the community
  • experience of effective leadership and management of individuals
  • excellent teaching skills
  • a dedication to progressive teaching and learning
  • a vision for the continued development of the success of our pupils, our staff and our school within the local and parish communities
  • an awareness of financial considerations and school strategic planning
  • a good sense of humour whilst putting the children at the heart of everything they do
  • an active Christian commitment to support our ethos that together we grow with God.

OFSTED rated the school as Good in 2019 and our SIAMS rating was Outstanding in 2017.

You will find information about our school on our website: https://www.lytham.lancs.sch.uk
