The Governors of Bowerham Primary & Nursery School are seeking to appoint a talented and inspiring Temporary EYFS teacher to join our friendly and dedicated team.

Bowerham is a happy , exciting and diverse community primary school currently catering for over 500 wonderful children between the ages of two and eleven years. We are a popular school based in the city of Lancaster. Our learning environment is beautiful and reflects the excellent standards and passion we have for education.

This post is a key appointment for the continued strive for excellence of our inspiring and successful EYFS team; our aim is to find the right person to join our school. Our main criteria for this appointment are an excellent teacher, who loves teaching with an absolute commitment and a willingness to learn, reflect and improve.

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • EYFS Primary trained
  • Desirable Qualifications
    Recent participation in a range of relevant professional development opportunities
    Essential Experience
  • Teaching experience, demonstrating successful and effective class teaching
  • Good knowledge of continuous provision and developing learning through play
  • EYFS teaching experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework and of Development Matters
  • Good understanding of the importance of the learning environment, observations and of developing child initiated play through the characteristics of effective learning
  • Desirable Experience
  • INSET in recent educational initiatives
  • A proven contribution to school improvement or development
  • Teaching in a range of school contexts
  • Working with other professionals supporting children
