We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and creative classroom teacher to work as part of the enthusiastic and highly motivated team in our welcoming rural school. We are a rural school with a strong Christian vision. Our Christian values are at the centre of everything that we do, helping us to learn, grow, achieve, and flourish together in God's love.

The position will initially involve teaching a mixed Year 2/3 class, however candidates must be willing to teach any age and be capable of teaching up to Year 6

The successful candidate will:

  • have excellent subject knowledge, especially in Maths and English;
  • have a high degree of professionalism in their approach to work
  • be able to competently lead subject areas (likely to be PE or Science);

  • be enthusiastic and fully committed to playing an active role in every aspect of school life;
  • establish and maintain excellent relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

    Shortlisted candidates will be asked to teach as part of the interview process and this is likely to take place during week commencing 26th April.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree (or equivalent)
  • Recent participation in relevant training
  • Essential Experience
  • Relevant, successful teaching experience in a primary school
  • Recent and relevant training in safeguarding pupils
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience of teaching in mixed aged class
  • Enthusiasm and interest in sport, physical activity and facilitating competitive sport within primary schools.
  • An interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • A practising Christian faith
