Summary

We are looking for a reliable and proactive School Maintenance Assistant to help keep our school site safe, tidy, and well-maintained. This role is ideal for someone with practical skills in general repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and decorating and for someone who is looking for part-time hours. As School Maintenance Assistant you will work alongside our experienced Site Supervisor but will also work independently.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance across the school site. 
  • Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and DIY tasks as needed. 
  • Assist with site improvements to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. 
  • Work flexibly to support the school’s evolving maintenance needs.

    Hours & Requirements: 
  • 7 hours per week, all year round, with flexibility as needed. 
  • Experience in general maintenance, DIY, or trade skills (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, painting, or repairs). 
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach to maintenance tasks. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Adaptable and willing to support the school’s needs as they arise.
