MEDLAR WITH WESHAM CE Primary school is a happy school family, where children enjoy learning to be curious, resilient and confident together, rooted in our Christian ethos. We recognise that every child is unique, and all staff ensure that each child reaches their full potential in every aspect of school life. Our school is a Church of England Primary School, set in the heart of Wesham. The school was founded in 1880, and we enjoy close links with the parish of Christ Church, Wesham. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to come and join our team for this temporary post. This temporary, Secondment Cover - Main Pay Scale - post will enable the successful applicant to make a contribution to teaching and learning in our school. The successful candidate would be joining a hardworking, dedicated, caring, Christian school family.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet the curriculum standards for Year 5.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters and nurtures behaviour for learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage academic and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents, and teaching assistants to support student learning and well-being.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

- Essential Qualifications

- Degree or equivalent
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 is essential.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.

- Evidence of strong teaching in a primary school setting.
- Successful deployment of teaching assistants or other adults in the classroom to support learning.
- Experience Working with children with SEND, writing and reviewing Individual Plans
- Experience of teaching in a Key Stage 2 classroom
- Experience of using assessment, tracking and target setting
- Evidence of strong teaching in a primary school setting.
