The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive two-form entry school dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our pupils. Rooted in our Catholic ethos, we strive to foster the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of every child. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Headteacher in driving forward our vision and values.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a Key Stage, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Overseeing an area of inclusion, ensuring all pupils have access to the curriculum and are supported to achieve their potential.
- Leading a core subject area, driving improvements and ensuring high standards.
- Undertaking a 0.8 teaching responsibility, delivering high-quality lessons and supporting pupil progress.
- Line managing support staff within the Key Stage and pastoral staff in consultation with the Headteacher and Family Support Worker.
- Upholding and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school, leading collective worship and supporting the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of pupils.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Education or related field.
- Proven experience in teaching and leading within a primary school setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff and pupils.
- Experience in leading a Key Stage or area of inclusion and managing staff.
