Penwortham Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding professional who can deliver all aspects of the attached job specification.  The position is to cover a maternity leave,  The role is expected to last until 31st August 2026, but please note that the duration may be subject to change depending on the return of the post holder.

•Experience of teaching key stage 2, preferably upper key stage 2.


•Has a proven record of outstanding practice.

•Can work effectively as a part of a team and be flexible, energetic and keen to use initiative.


•Is an excellent communicator with high levels of interpersonal skills.

•Wants the best outcomes for all members of the whole school community.

Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status

  • Successful completion of induction period

  • Degree (or equivalent)

  • Recent professional development appropriate to the role
  • Desirable Qualifications
  • First aid qualification 

  • Essential Experience
  • Successful experience of effective teaching within the primary phase and across key stages

  • Recent and relevant experience of teaching the National Curriculum

  • Subject leadership experience
