The Governing Board of Brunshaw Primary School are seeking to appoint a non-teaching Deputy Head Teacher with a passion for leadership and inclusion. The successful candidate will work alongside the Headteacher to lead and inspire us in our drive to build on our current good practice and to continue to raise pupil achievement.
Our new Deputy Head Teacher will:- Value the children and staff and have a high regard for their wellbeing and development.
- Have a secure knowledge of trauma informed practice
- Value the strong links between school and its local community and seek to promote them further.
- Have a passion for meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Support the school’s Head of Inclusion with the development of two newly commissioned SEN units
- Lead by example with integrity, creativity, resilience, and clarity drawing on their own scholarship, expertise and skills, and of those around them
- Be an excellent practitioner with a proven track record of raising achievement and developing children to be confident, considerate and resilient
- Have very high expectations of all and will inspire, challenge and encourage staff to achieve the best outcomes for themselves and pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential
- Be innovative and forward thinking with a progressive vision for school improvement through clear communication and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Take a strategic role in curriculum development and improving teaching and learning
- Be an experienced leader who is able to confidently deputise for the Headteacher
