Our vision for Modern Foreign Languages at Longridge High School is to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential. Modern Foreign Languages’ study is important for enhancing communication skills, fostering cultural understanding and opening doors to diverse career and educational opportunities. We want to equip and prepare our pupils to become global citizens of the work through a diverse and exciting curriculum.

We are looking for a committed teacher who is passionate about Modern Foreign Languages and teaching. Our pupils are highly motivated and keen to learn and we want a leader who will instil in them a lifelong love of languages. The school is looking to introduce Spanish as a second foreign language for pupils in the future.

We are looking for:

  • A person who really wants to make Modern Foreign Languages the centre of the school.
  • An excellent teacher with the ability to teach French at both KS3 and KS4 and ideally with the ability to teach Spanish as a second subject.
  • An ambitious teacher who has the vision, drive and motivation to assist the delivery of French and ideally Spanish throughout the curriculum.
  • An excellent teacher who believes every child has the potential to succeed in Modern Foreign Languages through developing teaching and learning that challenges and inspires young people.
  • A person who is willing to take an active part in professional development activities.
