Haslingden Primary School is an inclusive and happy school. The school has an experienced and stable staff team. Leadership is strong at all levels and we are in a stable financial position. Our staff team are highly motivated and we pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and the opportunities we provide for professional development. We are looking to appoint a Key Stage 1 or 2 teacher who wants to play a significant role in continuing to develop our Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 provision. The final decision on year group will be made after we have found the right person to join our school. This position is a full-time position.

  • Essential Experience
  • Recent experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 or 2 with sound knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Experience of leading and directing teaching assistants.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and work dynamically.
  • Able to work collaboratively with another teacher to plan and deliver all aspects of the curriculum

  • Desirable Experience
  • Using Read Write Inc 
  • Experience of using Rosenshine's principles in teaching. 
  • Experience of trauma informed training 
  • Use of restorative approaches in behaviour management.
