An exciting opportunity to work at Whittlefield Primary school has arisen for an experienced, inspiring, conscientious SENDCO and classteacher. The ideal candidate will join our thriving school family and be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, assisting the Headteacher in leading and managing the school. For the successful candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to build on our current strengths and help us continue to develop.
As SENCO you will have an important role to play in determining the strategic development of SEND policy and provision at the school, and in the day-to-day coordination of specific provision that is made to support individual pupils with SEND.

- Is a creative classroom practitioner;
- Is able to communicate well with good interpersonal skills;

- Has a sound, working knowledge of the SEND code of practice.
- Has a sound insight into what constitutes highly inclusive practice
- Is innovative and looks for ways to push the boundaries
- Is highly efficient and well organised
- Has excellent people skills and the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues
- Sees parents as key partners in the work we do for all our children, but particularly those who have additional needs
- Can engage with a wide variety of professionals to support school in its endeavour in meeting the needs of all pupils
