Kingsbury Primary Special School is an outstanding learning community, designated as a Generic Learning Difficulties provision within Lancashire County Council Local Authority. This Skelmersdale school has Kingsbury Cottage, an EYFS satellite provision and the main school site is co-located with Brookfield Park a mainstream Primary School; also sharing the site with West Lancashire Community High Special School.
Building on two consecutive OFSTED Outstanding inspections, the Governors are seeking an inspiring and experienced educational practitioner to provide our pupils with a high quality, creative curriculum which inspires and engages our children.
You will be a role model that inspires the delivery our school’s vision, values, aims and curriculum to the highest professional standards. You will lead the whole school community collaboratively, empowering staff to succeed in ensuring our students overcome their barriers to learning and gain experiences which equip them with the skills for their future lives.
Within the role you will be accountable for the strategic, operational and financial performance of the school. A key priority is to maximise on our established partnerships with the wider community, further enhance links with agencies and organisations to secure our reputation and impact as a leading school for SEND.
Applications are welcomed from Head teachers and senior leaders with, amongst other things, the ability to lead and manage a wide range of staff with a strong and collaborative leadership style and the ability to motivate and inspire others across the whole school community; experience of successful leadership within the SEND school environment; a proven track record in school improvement with knowledge and understanding of pupils with a wide range of complex and moderate needs.
