Following the retirement of our long-standing and highly effective headteacher, the Governing Board of Tarleton Mere Brow CE are seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated person to lead our Church school family with drive and compassion.
A person who can build on the foundations laid by our current Headteacher, and work with Governors, our staff team, parents, our Parish of Tarleton Holy Trinity and our community to deliver the best possible outcomes for all our pupils.

  • A caring and collaborative leadership style and positive approach that will inspire all those around you;
  • An experienced SENCO with SENCO qualification and someone who is passionate about inclusion for all;
  • An understanding of what is required for effective teaching and learning across all age groups and the ability to communicate this successfully;
  • An ambition and desire to maintain our ethos of making a positive difference to staff and children’s lives and help them reach their full potential;
  • A strong vision and innovative approach that can address the challenges currently facing small schools;
  • A commitment to continue to foster and strengthen links with parents, the Parish community of Tarleton Holy Trinity and the Diocese of Blackburn.
