The Governors of Chaucer Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team, in a KS1 SEND classroom for children with social communication and interaction needs.

We are looking for a teacher who can:

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students with communication and language needs

Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Assess students' progress and provide feedback to parents and colleagues

Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students with SEND

Be responsible for delivering EHCP provision

Contribute to annual reviews

This is a full-time position starting in April 2025, temporary for 1 year, initially, subject to funding.  If you are enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEND, we would love to hear from you.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

Essential Experience

Experience working with students with communication and language needs

Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive teaching practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
