Required from 1st January 2025, the Governing Body of Lowerhouse Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding class teacher to work in a Y4 class for up to two terms. We welcome applications from teachers who have completed their NQT induction year or their two-year ECT induction and who are ready to take on an exciting new role, the leadership of a curriculum subject or to lead SEND across the school as well as to contribute fully to the wider life and ethos of the school. This is an exciting time to join the school as we continue to grow and development.

We are seeking a class teacher who:
  • has children at the heart of teaching and learning, helping children to enjoy their learning whilst realising their full potential;
  • is resilient, enthusiastic, well-organised and determined;
  • is willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities and to other enrichment activities for children;

  • embraces change, is flexible and is willing to contribute, as part of the Lowerhouse team, to ongoing whole school development and improvement;
  • is keen to support whole school curriculum development as a subject leader;
  • is an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to lead by example and to demonstrate innovative approaches to teaching, learning and curriculum development;
  • has the desire and motivation to build and strengthen links with parents, governors and the wider community.
