The Governing Body of St Mary Magdalen’s Church of England Primary School wish to appoint a dynamic, forward-thinking Deputy Headteacher to work with the Headteacher to sustain, inspire and embody the distinctive Christian ethos and culture in this church school, embedding an unambiguous Christian vision that seeks to empower all stakeholders to reach their potential together in Christ to ‘To live and live splendidly’ John 10:10. The position presents an opportunity for a visionary, empathetic and determined leader to work with a talented, professional, and caring staff to continue to provide an academically challenging, culturally rich, and enjoyable education for future generations of pupils.
It is essential that they can elicit the trust and confidence of staff, parents/carers and Governors, and demonstrate the experience and credibility to deputise for the Headteacher in all areas of leadership. The successful candidate will be central to our continued success, playing a key role in furthering the Headteacher’s vision to ensure the children in our care ‘ live and live splendidly’ John 10:10, by reaching our potential together in Christ, and that their educational philosophy and beliefs reflect those detailed in our Christian Vision and Ethos.
The ideal candidate will have enjoyed success at Senior Leadership level in one or more of the following areas:- Leading Teaching & Learning
- Curriculum Development
- Personal Development
- Behaviour and Attitudes
Specific duties and responsibilities will be decided and discussed following the appointment.
