The Governors of The Lune Valley Federation of Leck St Peter’s and Hornby St Margaret's Church of England Primary Schools are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational SENCO from January 2025. We are looking for someone who will develop and share our vision of high-quality education for all.
The successful applicant must be committed to developing all children but especially SEND children, a dedicated teacher, and have a willingness to live out our school vision, ‘Belonging, Believing, Succeeding Together.’
The Governors, teachers and children are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and dedicated SENCO who is passionate about education and who can work with all members of our school community to support and raise the educational achievements for special educational needs (SEND) pupils.
Our ideal applicant:- has a proven track record as an outstanding practitioner;
- is passionate to ensure that all children achieve their highest potential;
- will nurture and further develop our strong Christian ethos and community spirit;
- has an ability to work to tight deadlines;
- an awareness of current SEN theory and pedagogical practices needs to raise the achievement of SEN children;
- has the National SENCO award or equivalent.

The successful candidate will:- Act as SENCO (non-teaching) for 6 hours per week.
- Organise their time in each school according to the current priorities.
This post may fit well with a current SENCO who wants more hours.
