The Governors of our vibrant and successful school are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Head Teacher from September 2024.
St John’s is a caring, friendly community where children are loved and valued. Our Catholic ethos, Jesus’ teachings, and our school mission to ‘Love one Another’, are central to all that we do. Our new Head Teacher will work with Governors to shape the strategic direction of the school and will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of our team of dedicated staff. This is an exciting time for St. John’s as we move towards joining the Blessed Edward Bamber Multi Academy Trust in 2025

Applications are invited from Head Teachers, Deputy Head Teachers, or Assistant Head Teachers with significant leadership experience.

Governors are seeking a leader who:
  • Will be a practising Catholic who will take the lead role in putting Christ at the centre of our school and will be seen by pupils, parents and carers, and the wider parish as the person directing their learning, and as the school’s pastoral leader.
  • Can demonstrate a proven track record of providing inspirational, strategic and professional leadership.
  • Will inspire, challenge and motivate staff to maintain and develop powerful and innovative teaching and learning.
  • Is passionately committed to safeguarding and the welfare and well being of our children, and staff.
  • Will continue to champion a wide and varied curriculum.
  • Is an excellent communicator and active listener who will work with integrity for the benefit of all within the school community.
