The governors of Torrisholme Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a passionate leader, who is outstanding, inspirational and motivated, to improve the outcomes for our children. The ideal candidate will work alongside the Head Teacher and leadership team to enable everyone in our school community to flourish. There will be a 0.5 teaching commitment to the post.

  • Can communicate the schools vision and drive the strategic leadership, empowering all pupils and staff to excel.
  • Can lead by example with integrity, creativity, resilience, and clarity drawing on your own scholarship, expertise and skills, and of those around you
  • Is an inspirational and outstanding classroom practitioner who leads by example and who motivates, inspires and challenges staff and children to be passionate about their learning.
  • Has a proven track record of raising achievement and developing children to be confident and compassionate.
  • Has very high expectations of all and will inspire, challenge and encourage staff to achieve the best outcomes for themselves and our pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential
  • Is innovative and forward thinking with a progressive vision for school improvement through clear communication and has a can-do attitude.
  • Is able to take a strategic role in curriculum development and improving teaching and learning
  • Is an experienced leader who is able to confidently deputise for the Head Teacher
  • Is able to support staff in their development
