We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher for our mixed Year 3 and 4 class. We would like to appoint someone who will strive for excellence and is committed to playing an active role in the life of our school and our continued development.
We need a teacher who has recent, successful experience of teaching in KS2 and is committed to making the most of every minute the children spend in school; someone who is passionate about teaching and prepared to go the extra mile, using their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to provide a highly effective curriculum for our pupils. You will be joining a team of committed, talented and supportive teachers who work collaboratively to continually improve provision for our children.
Whilst our children are well-behaved and willing learners, the challenge for the teachers in our small school is to accommodate the needs of different year groups within each class, so you will need to be hard-working, self-motivated and creative in your approach. We use positive strategies to support good behaviour in school, based on the principles of nurture, which we expect all our staff to contribute to.
Rehabilitation The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'. Information provided by you or the Disclosure and Barring Service will be dealt with in a confidential manner in accordance with the DBS's Code of Practice. You may view the Code of Practice on the DBS website at www.gov.uk/dbs or alternatively a copy is available on request. Lancashire County Council has a Handling of DBS Certificate Information Policy this is available from the recruiting manager to applicants who are asked to complete a DBS application.
Lancashire County Council has a Policy Statement on the Recruitment of Ex-offenders this is available to all applicants upon request.
Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
