Preesall Fleetwood's Charity School is a nurturing and inclusive school situated in an enviable hill-top location in the heart of Preesall. We put high quality teaching, learning and pastoral care at the centre of all that we do and we pride ourselves on our excellent relationships with our children, families and community. We have exceptionally well behaved and highly motivated children, alongside incredibly supportive colleagues, parents and governors who would make you feel very welcome. As a school we are committed to providing our children with enriching outdoor learning opportunities linked to the whole curriculum as well as the experience of a sequence of Forest School sessions throughout the year.

We are looking to appoint a teacher who is dynamic, imaginative, creative and innovative to teach in our mixed aged Year 1/2 class. We have high expectations and are keen to appoint someone with a passion for teaching and learning to join our school family. 

We are looking for someone who will:

  • promote positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
  • have high expectations for pupil learning, behaviour and attainment
  • have a creative and practical approach to learning
  • have a good working knowledge of the primary curriculum with excellent Numeracy and Literacy skills 
  • have an understanding of a range of Special Educational and behavioural needs
  • be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • undertake assessment, monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs
  • be committed to their continual professional development
  • uphold the Christian values and ethos of the School
