The governors, pupils and staff of Overton St Helen’s CE primary are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational deputy head teacher who will be a key member of our school family, continuing to build upon our achievements as an outstanding church school. We are looking for someone who can help share our Christian Vision and Values; who will be committed to our school pupils in keeping them safe, support their development, nurture their wellbeing, inspire a love of learning, broaden their knowledge and ambitions and let their lights shine.

This position comes with a full-time teaching commitment however a half-day out of class is delegated for management responsibility. It is negotiable as to which year group/key stage class responsibility may fall.

• a willingness to embrace the leadership challenges this post presents displaying positivity, resilience, energy, determination, self-motivation and flexibility
• collaboration with the headteacher to analyse and identify areas for school improvement and formulate plans to achieve this
• an excellent communicator who will build effective relationships with pupils, families, and fellow members of staff
• an approachable and friendly team leader with a sense of fun and adventure, willing to take risks
• someone who will set high standards of behaviour and be intrinsic in supporting all our school pupils to meet these standards
• a champion of dynamic teaching, devoted to the implementation of the schools broad, ambitious and active curriculum
• a deputy who will be committed to the life of the school and the community it serves.
