The Governors and Headteacher of Thorn Primary School are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to start 1st September 2023, on a temporary contract basis, which could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Thorn Primary school is a happy and caring school, with committed and hardworking pupils, staff and governors.  We work well as a team and have a drive to improve learning for pupils.

Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • QTS (Teaching degree or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in Key Stage 2 (Experience can relate to teaching practice for ECT)

  • The qualities of a capable and effective teacher with excellent classroom practise
  • Good Interpersonal skills & the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
