Information

The Governors and Headteacher of Thorn Primary School are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to start 1st September 2023, on a temporary contract basis, which could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Thorn Primary school is a happy and caring school, with committed and hardworking pupils, staff and governors.  We work well as a team and have a drive to improve learning for pupils.

Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

Essential Qualifications

QTS (Teaching degree or equivalent)

Experience of working in Key Stage 2 (Experience can relate to teaching practice for ECT)

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid

Essential Experience

The qualities of a capable and effective teacher with excellent classroom practise

Good Interpersonal skills & the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

A sense of perspective, a good communicator & has a sense of humour

Flexibility

Desirable Experience

Experience of planning for other adults in the classroom
