Information

This post would be suitable for a practitioner who is looking for a new challenge. It is an opportunity to work in a different primary school setting adding to your leadership journey. At Burscough Village Primary we nurture all members of the school community to allow them to ‘be the best that they can be.’  We are a forward-thinking team who are keen to take on new initiatives as well as build on current excellence.

Our curriculum drivers are Achieve, Nurture, Growth-Mindset, Environment, Community and Pupil voice. The teacher should be able to create a diverse curriculum that enables children to thrive.  We work closely with parents by providing ‘Come Learn with me’ sessions so they are involved in their children’s education.

The subject leader would lead PE across the Primary age range, 2-11 years. We are looking for a keen sportsperson to enhance our PE, Sport and Mental Health provision. They should be able to represent the school, as a member of staff, at sporting events inside and outside the school day. We would like you to encourage children of all abilities to engage in physical activities as well as nurture the children with a talent for sport. We believe that children can learn many vital skills for life through the PE curriculum.

We have stunning facilities for Sport and PE including extensive fields, two large playgrounds, table tennis tables, a traverse wall and climbing equipment. We have two Higher Level teaching assistants who provide excellent sports clubs for the children across the school. The new member of staff should be an outstanding team player and be able to lead and motivate the Sports and PE team.

If you think you have the ‘wow’ factor so our children gain a true love of learning, come and visit us.
