The Governing Body of the Bowland Federation of Schools, is looking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our excellent teaching team. The post would involve teaching for one day in our Infant Class, and one day in our Lower Junior Class, per week.  The succesful candidate will work together with the substantive post holders, to plan and deliver the curriculum for each group. The role will be fixed term from September 2022 until the end of the school year.

We are looking for someone who can offer us:



  • Experience of delivering quality first teaching across the primary age range

  • The ability to lead a subject across two schools, planning the curriculum and monitoring its delivery

  • A working knowledge of current education trends including retrieval practice and metacognition

  • A commitment to going ‘the extra mile’ which teaching in a village school often requires

  • A willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the school
