Information
Due to the upcoming maternity leave of one of our teaching staff, the Governors of Thorn Primary School are looking to appoint a KS1 Class Teacher to start on 17th April, on a maternity contract.

Thorn Primary school is a happy and caring school, with committed and hardworking pupils, staff and governors.  We work well as a team and have a drive to improve learning for pupils. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status (teaching degree or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in Key Stage 1  (Experience can relate to teaching practice for NQT)
  • Desirable Qualifications
  • First Aid

  • The qualities of a capable and effective teacher with excellent classroom practise
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaborively with colleagues
  • A sense of perspective, a good sense of humour and a good communicator
  • Flexibility
  • Experience of planning for other adults in the classroom
