Ridgewood is an excellent special school in the East of Lancashire that provides specialist education to pupils with a wide range of SEND. We cater for pupils aged 11 – 19 years. We are co-located with a mainstream high school and have excellent facilities.
Due to our continued expansion we are seeking to appoint a skilled, creative, and enthusiastic teacher who is able to deliver the curriculum for those pupils with Generic Learning Difficulties. Please state any additional subject specialisms.

- Essential Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status
* Evidence of continuing professional development re: SEND and/or curricular
- Desirable Qualifications
* Team Teach Intermediate trained
- Essential Experience
*4 years minimum experience teaching pupils with SLC/ASD and a range of SEND, within a special school setting.
*Working knowledge of assessment procedures and ability to analyse and utilise progress data to support progress and raise achievement.
*Experience of leading a subject, long term project, or initiative
*Experience of multidisciplinary working
- Desirable Experience
*Experience of leading and developing SLC provision across school
*Team Teach Intermediate trained
*The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with pupils/parents/agencies
*The ability to plan effectively to meet the learning needs of all students, including the management and deployment of staff and resources
