This is a great opportunity to join the aspirational, inclusive teaching team of Poulton St Chad’s Church of England Primary School and work with our enthusiastic children.

The governors are looking for someone:
  • Who is an outstanding Reception teacher with a passion for teaching Early Years pupils
  • Who is able to develop excellent relationships with parents, children and staff
  • Who can work with colleagues in a split Reception/Year1 class and with a team of teaching assistants in their own class

    We are looking someone who has clear expectations of behaviour, whilst maintaining a caring, nurturing approach.
    This practitioner is also:
  • Committed to and able to support the distinctive Christian ethos of the school
  • Able to plan creatively and accurately assess pupils to ensure they know their next steps
  • Able to address the needs of all pupils, including more able and SEN pupils, ensuring progress for all
  • Able to work closely and share EYFS information with colleagues and SLT

  • Essential Qualifications
  • Good level of English and maths at GCSE or beyond (or equivalent)

  • Good Degree with QTS  
  • Essential Experience
  • Experience of EYFS (Reception)
  • Recent teaching experience in Primary School
  • Supportive of the Christian ethos of the school
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience of the mastery approach to teaching
  • Experience of leading a curriculum subject
