Adlington Primary School is a small, successful school situated in the semi-rural village of Adlington. Our school has a warm and welcoming feel and we value the strong relationships that we have with our families and the local community. We are looking to appoint an experienced EYFS/Y1 teacher for our Wren Class who is forward thinking and shares our belief that our children deserve the very best education and opportunities. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, conscientious and have a willingness to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

We are looking for:
  • An experienced, inspirational teacher with a passion for developing outstanding teaching and learning.
  • A teacher with an in-depth knowledge of child development and an understanding of the barriers that some children face.
  • Recent experience in EYFS and an understanding of the changes to the EYFS framework.
  • A teacher with a passion for all things early years but also understands the Y1 curriculum.
  • A reflective teacher who seeks out good practice, sharing learning with others to improve teaching and learning across school.
  • Someone who contributes to the wider life of the school and is able to work both individually and as a member of a team.
  • A teacher who may hold the NASENCO award or who is keen to take the next step in their career and achieve this. The school is fully committed to providing this training to the right candidate and a SEND allowance will be paid upon completion (an alternative allowance will be paid prior to this).

    Candidates will be observed teaching in their own schools 1.12.21 or 2.12.21 and then deliver a short phonics session in our school 3.12.21
