Special Educational Needs coordinator– Dallas Road Primary School

PART TIME 0.5 Permanent- From January 2022

The SENCO will involve working with all year groups from EYFS to Year 6.

We are currently looking to appoint a charismatic SENCO who is an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs. You will be working closely with the head teacher, deputy head teacher and other senior colleagues. You will use your leadership skills to manage provision in our school and provide support to other teachers. Your responsibilities will include designing and overseeing the delivery of interventions, adhering to the 2014 SEND code of practice and implementing the school improvement plan. This role is a non-teaching position at Dallas Road Community Primary School.

Essential Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment

  • Essential Experience
  • Teaching experience that is currently judged to be at least good
  • Experience of working at a whole-school level
  • Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning
  • Experience of conducting training/leading INSET
