Are you an enthusiastic teacher of science?
Is your behaviour management top class?
Are you looking for the next challenge in your career?
Moorbrook is looking for a well qualified, dynamic teacher who can devise and deliver curriculum that will engage and enthuse our pupils.
Moorbrook is a "good" special school for young people aged 11 to 16 years with an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). We support a neurodiverse population where the vast majority of pupils have a diagnosis of ASD and or ADHD with related anxiety. Some pupils have specific or moderate learning difficulties. They can at times display a range of challenging behaviours but provide a very rewarding environment to work in.
We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher who is able to teach science across the school to GCSE, you will have autonomy and support to lead and grow your own department within the established school community. It is advantageous that the person can offer second subject. The ability to form positive relationships with pupils and put them at the heart of your work is essential, as is a resilient nature. You should lead by example and be passionate about your subject and your professional development. The person appointed will join a committed staff team who are determined that the school should be judged as "Outstanding" at our next inspection.
The school is committed to safeguarding, and to promoting the welfare of, all its students.
